How to setup LMS in DietPi

Pre-requisite 1. Download install Putty 2. Find the IP of your DietPi device with Fing (Android) or Advanced IP Scanner (Windows) Mount NAS 1. Log in DietPi with user=root and password=dietpi 2. Type dietpi-config and enter the setup menu below: 3. Select “Network Options: Misc” and click Enter: 4. Select “Network Drives” and click Enter 5. Select “Add network drive” 6. Select the SMB or NFS protocol: 7. Enter the IP of your network drive: 8. Enter the share drive details: 9. Enter username and password: 10. Input a name of your network drive. After you click OK and wait for a while, you will get the following message. Click OK to exit the setup. 11. Make sure you have your SMB server setup correctly. Installing Roon extension on DietPi

Very often if you have a Raspberry Pi and a touchscreen and you want to make a Roon bridge, the OS that you can think of is Ropieee. Unfortunately Ropieee only supports DSI 800x480 screens but not the HDMI ones. So if you only have a HDMI screen, you may give up this idea. Fortunately there is a plugin called "roon-web-controller" which bridges Raspberry Pi and Roon. Below is the photo of how it looks This method works with any HDMI screens of different resolutons. Controlling DietPi with SSH Shortcut

Although DietPi works great as an audiophile OS, unlike other headless OS, it does not know when to turn off the screen when audio playback is stopped. In this sens you will need to turn ON/OFF the screen manually with SSH shortcuts. Having tested several SSH shortcuts apps in Android, this one works like a charm. Firstly, add a new SSH server with a label (e.g. STEALTH), login and password. Leave the port unchanged. Add the following commands if needed: SCREEN OFF export DISPLAY=:0 && xset s 5 TIP: You can replace "5" in the above script with whatever timeout you want. SCREEN ON export DISPLAY=:0 && xset s default && xset s reset SHUTDOWN sudo shutdown NOTE: Shutdown occurs after 1 min. REBOOT sudo reboot

LAWO 7550 Pre-amp

The is a simple project which was made for a friend of mine. Not much technical information in the post, though a custom-made LPS was developed to fit into the case and the LAWO board. The LAWO board was purchased online and provided by my friend. In the middle of the pre-amp it is the power switch. In an attempt to deliver a minimal style, the power indicator (white in color) was not shown in the front panel. Instead, it points towards the desktop so a light at the desktop appears when the device is turned ON. On both sides of the pre-amp they are the individual left and right channels respectively. These high-precision volume attenuators are also provided by my friend, my job was to measure the dimensions and design the appropiate case to accomoodate them.
